This release was created specifically for an art exhibit called "Darkness." This exhibit opened on 10/06/2008 from 11pm-2am at the Gallery Above, Panama City, Florida. Below are the liner notes: "The audio on this CD was recorded in the dark of an unfamiliar household between 11:30pm and 2:00am. There were no lights and no distractions, human or otherwise. Nine rooms were observed. Each room posessed a unique atmosphere, sound, and feel. The purpose behind recording this piece was not only to embrace darkness but to acknowledge the discomfort and subconcious fear that can only be realized alone in an unfamiliar environment. There is nothing quite as lonely or cathartic as sitting in the far corner of a darkened closet listening to a void filled only by random creaks of wood and quiet hums of ventilation. Tension rises and falls and nerves fray and unwind at the slightest change in atmosphere. Nothing exists in that darkness but the mind and what it creates. Leigh has been an amazing support to everyone in this corner of the internet, and it has been amazing to watch the difference Mandi has made in Leigh's life. I will probably not step up to do this again, but considering the event, I am more than proud to be the one who facilitated this release. We had an amazing turn out, 68 songs, approximately 4 hours of noise/dark ambient on 4 disks. I tried to be fair to all the artists, I did not place anyone out of favortism, but more out of respect for the musical flow. We beat and battered this poor graphic artist, demanded multiple last minute changes, and...well, he has a very patient soul.
